About

A small American shop, run by the guy holding the mic.

Murphy's CNC didn't start as a marketing brand. It started in a building full of stacked aluminum stock, an old electronics inventory, and a Brother Speedio that had to start earning its keep. Around here, "the mic" means the micrometer — the tool I use to check the work, not a figure of speech.

Heritage

Decades in industrial surplus. Now cutting our own.

Our family spent more than a generation around industrial surplus and electronics — buying and moving the kind of parts engineers actually use, learning what good documentation looks like, and figuring out the difference between a supplier who talks and a supplier who ships.

Murphy's CNC is the next chapter. Instead of moving other shops' work, we cut our own. Same plain-spoken approach, same long-term relationships — just applied to precision aluminum components coming off our own machine.

How we work

Three rules. We don't break them.

01

Direct to the Machinist

When you quote with me, you're talking to the person running the machine. No customer success layer, no offshore desk, no sales rep between you and the answer.

02

Honest Pricing

Real pricing on real parts. I don't carry a sales team's overhead, so I don't charge you for one.

03

Long Relationships

I'd rather quote your next program than win one job on a teaser price. Reliability matters more to me than a single low bid.

Why direct

Murphy's vs. the platform.

Quoting through a platform

  • Your file gets bid out to whoever's cheapest that week
  • You talk to a sales desk, not the person cutting your part
  • Surge pricing, fine-print rework policies
  • Material origin is usually a black box

Quoting with Murphy's

  • One shop, one operator — someone accountable on every job
  • You email the machinist directly, every time
  • Honest, repeatable pricing based on your actual print
  • Material certs and origin available whenever you need them
